Aramaic

  • Aramaic is a language used in the Ancient Middle East which originated in northern Syria after c. 2,000 BCE, It has variants that are still spoken today, making Aramaic one of the world’s oldest surviving languages.
  • It was the language used in two Books of The Bible, Daniel and Ezra, and was the language spoken by Jesus of Nazareth.
