- Galba specifically raised a Spanish Legion, the Legio VII Gemina Felix, to remove Nero. However, Nero committed suicide, leaving Galba free to take the Legion to Rome and be declared Emperor.

- After 7 months in power, he was assassinated by the Praetorian Guard led by Otho.
