2. BRIEF SYNOPSIS

  • He was born with a diadem shaped caul and was thus named Diadumenianus.
  • Diadumenianus was only ten when he was made co-emperor by his father Macrinus.
  • In a rebellion against his father Macrinus, the Legio III Gallica in Raphanea, proclaimed Elagabalus emperor at the age of 14. The Legion defeated Macrinus‘ army, and both Macrinus and Diadumenianus were executed by Elagabalus.
