Laurel Wreath

In Ancient Greece, the Laurel wreath was made from Bay Laurel leaves and given to winners of the Pythian Games.
In Ancient Rome, the Laurel Wreath was also held above a General’s head during a Roman Triumph. The Roman Emperors were often portrayed wearing a Laurel Wreath.
