Mildenhall Treasure

  • The Mildenhall Treasure is an exceptional collection of 34 items of Roman silver tableware from the 4th century CE.
  • It consists of ‘The Great Dish’, silver platters, bowls, dishes, ladles and spoons which were found by ploughing in a field in West Row near Mildenhall in Suffolk in 1942 CE.

British Museum

  • The original Treasure is housed in Room 49 of the British Museum.

Mildenhall Museum

  •  A replica of the treasure is on display in the Mildenhall Museum.
