- The Roman Religion began with the Foundation of Rome in 753 BCE and was based on the council of twelve Roman Gods in the Roman Pantheon. They were the same Gods as the Greek Twelve Olympians and were called Dii Consentes.
- The Temples of Ancient Rome were built to honour these Gods and Roman Festivals were held annually to celebrate them.
