  • The Arc de Triomphe in Paris was built to commemorate all of the Battles of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is a scaled up copy of the Arch of Titus (83 CE) in Rome, by a ratio of 3 to 1.
  • Started in 1806 and completed in 1836, it is located in the Place de Charles de Gaulle, previously known as Place de L’Etoile, The Metro station is ‘Charles de Gaulle-Etoile’.
