Battle of Naissus

• In c. 268 or 269 CE, the Roman Emperor Claudius II Gothicus decisively defeated the second of the Great Gothic Seaborne Raids at Naissus (Nis in Serbia).
• The details of the battle and the numbers involved on both sides are unknown, however, the Goths lost between 30-50,000 soldiers and this ended the Gothic Invasions for the next few decades.
