  • Butser Ancient Farm is an archeological open air museum located on Butser Hill near Petersfield in Hampshire.
  • On display are reconstructions of two Neolithic buildings, one Bronze Age building, six Iron Age Roundhouses, a Roman villa and two Anglo-Saxon buildings dating from 400 BCE to 400 CE.

Roman Villa

  • The museum features a complete reconstruction of the west wing of Sparsholt Roman Villa, from Sparsholt in Hampshire. The villa existed between the 2nd-5th centuries CE.
  • The villa has an entrance into a corridor which gives on to several rooms, one with an exact replica of the original mosaic, others with replica Roman furniture.
