Capitoline Triad

• The Capitoline Triad were the three Gods of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva
• A Temple dedicated to the three Gods stood on the Capitoline Hill and was known as the ‘aedes Iovis Optimi Maxini Capitolini. Inside the Temple were three separate chambers to worship each God.

Capitolia

• The Temples dedicated to the Capitoline Triad were known as Capitolia and were built throughout Italy and the Provinces.

  • King of the Gods.
• Juno
  • Queen of the Gods and Jupiter’s wife and sister.
• Minerva
  • Jupiter’s daughter, Goddess of Wisdom.
