Carnuntum

  • Carnuntum was a Roman Legionary Fortress founded in c.50 CE, whose ruins are located at Petronell-Carnuntum in Austria.
  • It became the Capital of the Province of Pannonia Superior in the 1st century CE.

    • Located in the village of Bad Deutsch-Altenburg.
    • It holds the Finds from Carnuntum.
