Coventry

Coventry Cathedral
  • Coventry is a cathedral city located on the river Sherbourne in the West Midlands Region of England (formerly part of Warwickshire).
  • It was founded by the Saxons in c.700 as the site of a Nunnery, and is famous for the legend of Lady Godiva (d.1086) who rode naked in the streets of Coventry as a protest against taxation.

Lunt Roman Fort

  • Lunt Roman Fort is a modern reconstruction located near the junction of the Fosse Way and Watling Street at Baginton, 4 miles (6.5km) from Coventry.
  • It is a rare example of a prefabricated Roman Fort.
