• The Cradles of Civilisation are locations where Civilisation is considered to have emerged independently from other locations.
• There are six official Cradles of Civilisation. These Civilisations all started simultaneously around 3,000 BCE, with the exception of China whose Civilisation started around 2,100 BCE.
