Et tu, Brute?

  • “Et tu, Brute?”  is a quotation from William Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene I.
    • The Latin phrase means ‘and you too, Brutus?’. It was spoken by Julius Caesar as he was being assassinated and recognised Brutus amongst the assassins.
    • The phrase is now used to indicate a breach of friendship.
