- Hastings is a seaside town located in the County of East Sussex.
- Iron ore is to be found in the Wealden rocks nearby, and at Beauport Park, the Romans operated one of the largest Iron Mines in the Roman Empire, with up to one thousand workers.

- Beauport Park and Crowhurst Park both had Roman ‘Bloomeries’ with Iron Smelting Works and a Bath house.

- Hastings Museum and Art Gallery
- Located at John’s Place, Bohemia Road, Hastings.
- It is a Museum of Natural History and Antiquities, a Public Art Gallery and includes a reconstructed Indian Palace called Durbar Hall.
- The Collection contains some Roman Pottery and Coins.
- Hastings Shipwreck Museum
- The museum contains timbers from the Blackfriars Roman Shipwreck.
Roman Roads
- A Roman Road connected the Iron workings in the Weald near Hastings with Watling Street.
