Herodian

• Herodian (c. 170 – 240 CE) was a Roman Historian whose exact life, occupation and dates of birth and death are unknown. He is also known as Herodian of Antioch, but it is not certain if he lived there.
• His knowledge of procedures and law suggests he may have been a Roman civil servant.
