Klis Pass

• Klis Pass is located on the road between Split and Sinj. It is at an altitude of 1,181 feet (360m) and has views overlooking Split and the Adriatic.
• The Medieval Klis Fortress which defends the Pass, was built over the site of a Roman Fort.

Via Argentaria

• The Via Argentaria was a road in Dalmatia that followed a Roman Trade Route.
• It connected the Mint in Salona with the Silver Mines, via Passes in the Dinaric Alps. It then went on to the Mint at Sirmium in Pannonia Inferior.
