Konya

• Konya is the capital city of the Konya Province located in the Central Anatolia Region of south central Turkey.
• It was known to the Romans as Iconium and was in the Roman Province of Galatia.

Museums

• Konya Archeological Museum
  • Located at Sahibiata, Sahibiata Cd. No: 150, Konya.
  • The museum holds Finds from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods of history.
  • In the open yard are Roman sarcophagii, sculptures and tops of columns.
