  • The Ludi were Roman Games held in the Capital, Rome, usually during a Religious Festival.

Religious Festivals with Ludi

  • The Ludi Romani
    • From 366 BCE, these Games were the most important Roman Festival, possibly celebrating the Roman defeat of the Latins in 496 BCE according to Cicero. They were held in honour of Jupiter between September 12-14.
  • Ludi Megalenses
    • Held in honour of Cybele, they were celebrated between April 4-10.
