January

February

  • Paris International Agriculture Show
  • Six Nations Rugby
    • Held at the Stade de France. End of February to the beginning of March.
  • L’Aiguille en Fete
    • French Speed Knitting Championship held at the Grande Halle de la Villette.
    • This includes embroidery, yarn, patchwork, lace tapestry, cross-stitch, sewing, etc.

March

  • Paris Carnival
    • Held first Sunday of March. The Procession. led by a Cow, starts from Place Gambetta after 1.30 pm and arrives at the Hotel de Ville by 7 pm.
  • International Furniture Show
    • Held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
  • Paris Book Fair
    • Held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
  • Modern and Contemporary Art Fair
    • Held at the Grand Palais

April

  • Paris Marathon
  • Paris Home Show
  • Foire du Trone
  • ‘A Day at the Races’
    • Every Sunday at the Hippodrome de Longchamp. Admission is free with Pony Rides, Merry-go-round and open air Games as well as Racing.

May

June

  • Les Tuileries Funfair
    • (Fete Foraine des Tuileries) with outdoor Fairground Attractions and Rides
  • Paris Air Show
  • Festival of Music
    • Held in the Streets all over Paris
  • Paris Jazz Festival

July

  • Bastille Day Parade 14 July
    • Where the French Armed Forces parade down the Champs Elysees in front of the French President.
  • Firework Display from the Eiffel Tower 14 July
  • Tour de France
    • This 23 Day Cycle Race around France always finishes in Paris, along the Champs Elysees.
  • Paris Plage
    • ‘Beaches’ are created along the River Seine, from the last week of July into August.
  • Open Air Cinema

August

  • ‘Cinema au Clair de la Lune’
    • An Event held at various Cinemas
  • Classique au Vert
    • Classical Music Concerts held at the Parc Floral (Metro: Chateau de Vincennes) during weekends in August and September
  • Arenes de Montmartre Festival
    • Held at Les Arenes Roman Amphitheatre (not normally open to the Public) with performances by travelling theatres for three weeks.
  • Rock en Seine
    • Held at St. Cloud Park (Metro: Boulogne Pont Saint-Cloud)

September

  • International Two-Wheeled Vehicle Show
    • Held every two years
  • France’s Heritage Days
    • ‘Journees du Patrimoine’ where many of France’s Buildings that are normally closed to the Public are open for a few days and Museums have free entry days.
  • Paris to Versailles Race
  • Paris Autumn Festival
    • Films, Dance, the Performing Arts and Opera from September to December.For more information go to
  • Paris – Deauville Rally
    • Starts in Place Vendome for cars built before 1960.
  • Paris Short Film Festival

  • International Paris Motor Show
  • International Contemporary Art Show
    • Held at Le Grand Palais and the Louvre.
  • Nuit Blanche
    • This is an all night Arts Festival taking place over one October Saturday night into Sunday, where Museums, Art Galleries and other Venues host Music, Film, Dance and performing Art.
  • Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
  • Salon du Chocolat
    • Held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
  • Montmartre Grape Harvest Fest

November

  • ‘Paris Photo’
    • Held at the Grand Palais.
  • Beaujolais Nouveau Festival
    • This celebrates the annual arrival of the new vintage of Beaujolais every third Thursday in November. Every Wine Shop, Bistro, Wine Bar and Cafe celebrates the Beaujolais Nouveau, and other Events are organised during the Day.
  • Antiques Fair
    • Held at Place de la Bastille.
  • Classical Orchestra Festival
  • Les Nuits Capitales
    • Offers reduced prices at nightclubs and live music venues across Paris.

December

  • Paris Boat Show
  • Paris Horse Show
    • Held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
