- Mellieha is a village in Malta, next to Xemxija, where caves containing Roman Beehives are located.
Roman Beehives
- The Roman Beehives were constructed in stone (looking like bread ovens), and located in the mouth of the cave in an area full wild thyme bushes.
- The Honey made by the Maltese Honey Bee was famous throughout the ancient world. Honey is still made in Mellieha.
