• Monarchianism, is a Christian theology which developed during the 2nd century CE and lasted until 381 CE, based on the belief that God is one being.
• The name comes from the Greek, meaning a single concept of authority.

Description

• The opposite of Monarchianism is Trinitarianism, which believes that God exists as three beings who coexist as one.
• In 381 CE, the First Council of Constantinople confirmed the concept of Trinitarianism and made Monarchianism a heresy.
