  • Parchment is made from Calfskin, Goatskin or Sheepskin, but is of a lesser quality than Vellum.

History

Manufacture

  • Parchment is manufactured in the same way as Vellum, by being immersed in lime, then having the hair scraped off, and finally being stretched out to be cleaned and dried. It is not Tanned.
