Priscian

• Priscianus Caesariensis, known as Priscian (Born c.500 CE), was a Greek scholar and Latin Grammarian who taught in Constantinople.
• He was born in Cherchell (Caesarea), in Mauretania Caesariensis.

• ‘Institutiones Grammaticae’ (Grammatical Foundations) in 18 Books.
  • During the Middle Ages this became the standard Textbook for the study of Latin.
