Pumsaint

• Pumsaint is a village in Carmarthenshire in Wales.
• It is the site of a Roman Fort called Luentinum (no visible Ruins) and the Dolaucothi Gold Mine which can be visited.

History

• The site of the Roman Fort lies across the A482 in Pumsaint village.
• It was manned by Roman Auxiliaries between 70-120 CE who probably guarded the adjacent Dolaucothi Gold Mine.
