History
- Saldae was founded in the 1st century CE and thrived as a minor seaport.
- Between 439-533 CE, Saldae became the capital of the Vandal Kingdom in North Africa.

- It is inscribed with the story of the construction of the aqueduct of Saldae.
Museums
- Bordj Moussa Museum
- Place du 1er Novembre, Bejaia. The Museum is currently closed whilst undergoing refurbishment.
- The museum holds various collections including the Prehistoric and Roman periods to collections of African birds and insects.
