Sandwich

• Sandwich is an ancient town in Kent and is one of the five Medieval Cinque Ports. Due to silting, it is now a port on the river Stour and the sea is 2 miles away.
• The Ruins of the Roman Fortress of Richborough lie 2 miles (3km) north of the town.
