Selinus

• The Ruins of the port of Selinus lie near the town of Gasipasa, 28 miles (45km) southeast of Alanya, in the Mediterranean Region of southwestern Turkey.
• Selinus was built on a rocky Promontory and was in the Roman Province of Lycia

History

• After Trajan's Parthian War, Selinus was where Trajan died on the 8th August, 117 CE. Hadrian took his remains back to Rome.
