Seneca the Younger

  • Seneca the Younger (4 BCE-65 CE), also known as Seneca, was a Roman Quaestor, Senator, playwright and philosopher.
  • His father was Seneca the Elder (c.54 BCE-c.39 CE). Seneca the Younger was a close adviser to Nero between 54-62 CE. In 65 CE he was ordered to commit suicide by Nero after the failed Pisonian Conspiracy.
