Equestrian Naval Pay
- The position of Admiral and Commander in the Roman Navy was exclusively filled by the Equestrian Class and formed part of the Equo Publico.
- Procuratores Ducenarii:
- Pay 200,000 Sesterces.
- Praefecti Classis: (Admiral of the Fleet). The Admirals of the two Italian Imperial Fleets, the Classis Misenensis and the Classis Ravennas.
- The most famous Equestrian Admiral of the Misenum Fleet was Pliny the Elder.
- Procuratores Centenarii:
- Pay 100,000 Sesterces.
- SubPraefecti Classis: (Deputy Commander of the Fleet). The Prefects of the Major Provincial Fleets, the Classis Britannica, the Classis Germanica and the Classis Pontica.
- Equestrians were also appointed as Deputy Commanders of these Fleets.
- Procuratores Sexagenarii:
- Pay 60,000 Sesterces.
- Prefects of the Minor Provincial Fleets.
