Silius Italicus

  • Tiberius Catius Asconius Silius Italicus (26-101 CE) was a Roman Senator, Orator and Poet during the Silver Age of Latin Literature.
  • He was Consul in 68 CE under Nero and Vitellius. He bought Virgil's Tomb near Naples is buried there.
