Sophocles

  • Sophocles (c.496-406 BCE) was one of the three Ancient Greek Tragedy writers, who all lived and wrote in Athens at the same time. He wrote 123 plays of which only 7 have survived.
  • The other two playwrights were Aeschylus (c.525-455 BCE) and Euripides (c.480-406 BCE)
