Spanish Steps

Spanish Steps, Rome
  • The Spanish Steps are a stairway of 138 steps (opened in 1725) which lead from the Piazza di Spagna up to the Piazza Trinita dei Monti and the Church of the Trinita dei Monti (consecrated in 1585).
  • The Sallustiano Obelisk, one of the Obelisks of Ancient Rome, stands in front of the Church.

Getting There

  • Location: Piazza di Spagna, Rome. The Piazza is at the base of the Spanish Steps which lead up to the Church of the Trinita dei Monti and the Sallustiano Obelisk.
  • Nearest Metro Station: Spagna, Line A.
