St. Hippolytus

  • Hippolytus of Rome (c.170-c.235 CE) was a 3rd century CE Christian Theologian who was influential in forming Christianity, but whose life is almost completely unknown.
  • He lived through the Severan Persecution (202-211 CE) and is venerated as a Saint in the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church.
