  • Strategemata is a book on Tactics used in Roman Warfare written by the Roman General Frontinus (c.35-103 CE) between 84-96 CE.
  • It is a collection of 4 Books, containing 500 examples of different Tactics, and is itself an Appendix to another work, ‘The Art of War’, written in 78 CE, which is now a Lost work.

Maurice (582-602 CE)

  • Maurice was an Eastern Roman Emperor who also wrote a Manual on Warfare called the Strategikon, which was used for the next 1,000 years by Medieval Armies.
