Temple of Veiovis

• The Temple of Veiovis was built near to the Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill, and consecrated in 192 BCE.
• Some of its remains were found under another building in 1939, and these are now in the Capitoline Museums.

Roman God Veiovis

• The God Veiovis, of Etruscan origin, was worshipped by the Romans as the God of Healing together with Asclepius.
• Another Temple was built to Veiovis on Tiber Island where there was a hospital.
