Temple of Antas

  • The Temple of Antas is a Carthaginian-Roman building located near Fluminimaggiore in Sardinia, originally dedicated to the local Sardinian God Sid-Addir.
  • It was first constructed by the Carthaginians in c.500 BCE, then completely reconstructed by the Romans under Augustus (27 BCE – 14 CE) over the Carthaginian base, and restored later by Caracalla (213-217 CE).
