Titus Flavius Titianus

  • Titus Flavius Titianus was the Roman Prefect of Egypt, Praefectus Aegypti, between 126-133 CE.

  • His Father was Titus Flavius Clemens
  • His Mother was Flavia Domitilla.
    • She is a Saint in the Greek Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church and was sent in Exile in 95 CE to the island of Ventotene by Domitian, and died circa 100 CE.
    • Flavia Domitilla was the granddaughter of Vespasian and the niece of Domitian.
    • Both Parents were charged by Domitian with Treason for Atheism, during the Second Persecution of the Christians.
    • The Catacombs of Domitilla: this is an area of land covering 17 hectares owned by Flavia Domitilla as recorded by an inscription in the Catacombs. There are four levels of galleries containing Christian burials.
