Vulcan

  • Vulcan was the Twelve Gods in the Roman Pantheon, known to the Greeks as Hephaestus.
  • He was the God of Fire, Volcanoes, Metalworking and the Forge. He was usually portrayed holding a blacksmith’s hammer.

Description

  • Vulcan was part of an early stage of the Roman Religion associated with the Kings of Rome.
  • Vulcan was celebrated by the Festival of Vulcanalia held on August 23rd.
