Was Sceptre

  • The Was Sceptre was an animal head placed on top of a long staff with a forked base, which was held by both the God Set or the God Anubis.
  • It was the symbol of Power in Ancient Egypt, and appears in Hieroglyphics and on other relics.

Description

  • The head represented the Set-Animal or Typhonic-animal.
  • Set was also represented as a God with a jackal head.
  • The Was sceptre was often portrayed along with the Djed and the Ankh.
