Zigana Pass

• The Zigana Pass is a located in the Pontic Mountains of Gumushane Province in Turkey and is at an altitude of 6,666 feet (2,032m). It is covered by snow for five months of the year.
• The Pass was controlled historically by Trabzon, a port city located 75 miles (120km) to the north on the Black Sea. The Road through the Pass connected with the interior of Asia Minor, Armenia and the Euphrates.
