Dell Quay

• Dell Quay is a small harbour located in the Parish of Apuldram in Chichester Harbour, West Sussex.
• It was the Roman Terminus for Stane Street and port for Roman Chichester.

History

• Dell Quay was an all tides harbour for Chichester, with the Roman Navigation continuing to Fishbourne Roman Palace.
• In the 14th century CE, it was the port for Chichester, which was considered the 7th greatest Port in England.
• It is no longer navigeable at low tide.
