Navalia

• The Navalia were the Naval Dockyard and Arsenal of Ancient Rome.

Location

• Navalia Superiora:
  • Naval Docks and Arsenal of Ancient Rome until dismantled in 44 BCE, located on the left bank of the Tiber in the Campus Martius opposite the fields of the Prata Quinctia on the right bank.
• Navalia Inferiora:
  • An earlier naval dockyard located beside the Forum Boarium.
