North Sea

• The North Sea, known to the Romans as the Oceanum Germanicum or Mare Frisicum, is bordered in the west by England and Scotland, and in the east by Norway, Denmark and Germany.
• The Netherlands, Belgium and France form the southern boundary. It connects with the Norwegian sea to the North and the English Channel to the south.
