Description
- The Museum holds statues of the Emperors Claudius, Hadrian and Domitian, which were excavated from the Theatre.
- It also holds the mosaic of the Peacock taken from the House of the Peacock, a head of Apollo and various Steles.
Vaison-La-Romaine
- Vasio Vocontiorum developed below the old tribal Oppidum during the 1st century CE, with the construction of Villas, a Theatre, two Aqueducts, Baths and a Bridge.
- The Roman town was one of the richest cities in the Province of Gallia Narbonensis.
- The Roman Bridge still connects the modern town with the old medieval citadel opposite.
