• Silchester is a village located near the Silchester Brook in the County of Hampshire. It is 9 miles (17km) southeast of Reading.
• Next to the village are the Ruins of the Walls and Amphitheatre of the Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum, Capital of the Atrebates Tribe.
